Well i'm slowly doing this with my movies, the ones that are the 480p i like, then going to do the divx/xvid ones i'll eventually be replacing then use tvrenamer. Hopefully i get my htpc by the end of the week (from ncix and the hsf from someone on here) and get it up and running by my birthday.

Looks like i wont be able to get this up and running until after the weekend unless canada post pulls a miracle and gets it here for tomorrow. Should i run Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 for my htpc/server/torrent box (keep in mind i want to remote access/connect to it and that i have a copy of windows server for free thanks to msdnaa)

I use Win 7 HP. Although I don't use RDP. I just use VNC.

VNC allows easy fast remoting in to another computer on the same network.

Doesn't matter the platform either.

I prefer VNC for a HTPC. The windows RDP will close the distant session if opened when you connect, unlike a VNC application (or most of 'em.) + You can't connect with RDP on a windows home edition. (well, it is not set up out of the box, Don't know if you can add it). But as you got an MSDAA, should'nt be a problem. Also, VNC is easily usable cross-platform with linux, and probably mac too. If your going to use windows, you may just use Win7. It's all fine for what you need to do.
