Probably not what you're looking for but I thought I'd float this idea out there. I'm assuming your looking for a slick design so it will fit in with the rest of your equipment... What about buying a piece of equipment (used and dead so it's cheap) that matches the rest of your gear and gut it and put a PC in there? I use an HK receiver because (I hear) they're pretty good and I really like the look of them. I'm probably going to pick up blown one and gut the chassis and do that for my setup so I have a matching pair.

I find it annoying that since most HTPCs are minimal mid/low power systems that generally require only an optical drive and a couple HDDs so nothing special at all engineering wise, that you have to get into the many hundreds of dollars to get something nice.

... again just a thought

Curious if you found anything yet? I know you want clean lines, and the ones you listed look great, but the LC-13B has a panel covering the entire front, and the same internal layout as your 17B. It really does have nice clean lines like you want.

That case doesn't look bad. I however have given up on a nice HTPC case. I have decided to make a very small ITX system or to make a very nice clean watercooled system in a mid/full tower.

Ah. My Modstrem just bit it in my case, and the rig in there is a Socket A AMD system pushing 7 years old. I think it's time for a new one.

I love my GD05 its simple, nice front bezel, and no need to spend 500+ my 2cent

I was going to re-purpose a Harmon Kardon AVR135 amp housing into my HTPC build, but turns out the amp still worked and you cant gut a working High current amp like that, so i sold it to a youn guy as his first amp for cheap. then bought the GD05 (black of course)

So I am back to thinking I want a high end case again.

This time I am looking at the Luxa2 LM300. Still can't find stock in Canada anywhere. Newegg.com sells it but not Newegg.ca

Default Multichannel FLAC

What program do you use to playback your multichannel FLAC? How do you output to your receiver?

I'll give them a call on Monday to see what they have available.

If you scroll down to the playback section of the first post you will see. I use MPC-HC w/ madflac. I was using analog out from an Auzen Prelude to my receiver. But I will start using the onboard LPCM/bitstream from my G6950/H55 system here soon. Hopefully it should be able to decode everything. Then just output multichannel LPCM to my receiver via HDMI.
