Nice to see a S754 sempy still pulling duty!!! :) (also hard to believe that it's currently 3 platforms old, and soon to be 4!!!! ).

Nice looking rig. How do you find the functionality? Does it do everything you'd expect from it?

Works pretty good since the PVR-150 don't really tax the CPU. I also find running SAGE TV is lot better then MCE 2005 or Vista which I have both for other systems in the house. I really like the PVR portion of SAGE TV which works great.

Here is mine :)

Case - Silverstone Crown
Mobo: DFI NF4 Expert
CPU: AMD X2 4400+ 939
Video Card: eVGA 8800GTS 320
Main Harddrive - Seagate 7200.10 320G
Media Drive - Seagate 7200.10 500G
DVD Burner #1 Plextor 716a
DVD Burner #2 Plextor 760a
RAM: Mushkin 2x1G PC4000 Redline
OS : Vista X64 Ultimate
Wireless Keyboard: Logitech Dinovo
TV Tuner: Nvidia DualTV MCE
Soundcard: Creative Audigy 4 Pro
Power Supply: OCZ Powerstream 600
CPU Cooler: CNPS 9500 AM2

Pics:)

Runs great but I want to move to intel and quad on it. It serves the whole house and I have two extenders that pull dvr.ms files from it. Also is recording non stop, so it would benifit from the extra CPU power.

do you have to use dou's or quads for Home Theater PC's. I was just thinking of using my old dell 3ghz for a Home Theater PC but I am not sure if it would be enough also which os would you use?

You can use a single core but dont plan on using Vista very well and watching a Blu-Ray or HD-DVD /VC-1/H.264 encoded content unless you have a video card that does the decoding for you. I would reccomend using MCE 2005 or get a dual core proc for Vista.

I have used both Vista and MCE 2005 and like Vista much more for Media Center. Not a whole lot of differences other than the smoothness and arrangement of the GUI. Also get at least 2GB of RAM for the smoothest experience.
