Default Preferred Filter Tweaker for Windows 7

I recently discovered a little app, that lets you choose the codec you like to be used by Windows Media Player. Since Windows 7 doesn't allow 3rd party codecs I used to tweak registry manually, but this does it for you:

MPC is a media player. And it also uses DirectShow filters.

Anyways RadLight Filter Manager is much better than than you posted if you can figure it out. With it you can change the priority or remove every single filter installed on your computer. Much more powerful. Although it isn't as easy to use.

Since CoreAVC 2.0 now supports Windows 7 and does a lot of new stuff, this information is old, CoreAVC takes over Windows during install without a need for registry tweaks.

I've been using CoreAVC 1.95 no problems for the past few months w/ Windows 7. I don't know why people say it doesn't work.

I mean it never worked with WMP and Media Center because Microsoft blocked 3rd party codecs in 7. I tried different players, but prefer to use WMP because it fits the OS visual design better being native application.
