Default Netbook as remote?
I was given an acer netbook from work and was wondering if there would be any way to make this into my remote for my Windows 7 HTPC with media center?

HTPC: Phenon II 940B, ASUS M4A78-e, 2x2gig XP2 Mushkin 8500, 1 x 1TB Seagate, 3 x 2TB WD Green, Corsair TX 750W PSU and 5 Scythe Kama-flex fans in a Silverstone LC20.

The only thing I can think of is using remote desktop or vnc.

Same.

Not like it has an IR port on it or anything. Even if it did, you'd probably have some weird angle to hold it at to make it work.

If you do decide to use either vnc or remote desk top consider that there will some lag involved. Not like using an ir controller.

Actually, I just found some decent software for my old HTC Touch that's been sitting in a drawer that should work good via bluetooth. Now if I could just get it to control my tv as well.... hmm...

Guess I'll have to find another use for the net book.
