Default How is the 4350 for HTPC?

NCIX.com - Buy ASUS Radeon HD 4350 Silent 600MHZ 512MB DDR2 800MHZ PCI-E DVI VGA HDMI Low Profile Video Card - EAH4350 Silent/DI/512MD2(LP) In Canada. is the one I am looking at. The original card I had planned for this is too tall for the case. I am not going to blow a bundle on this little project, as the main purpose will be to watch TV through the HTPC and maybe show a movie or two on my widescreen TV. I might save a show or two for watching later. I'm old school, mostly what I'm aiming at is something to replace my VCR. So what does anybody think of the 4350? The other card I am considering is nvidia 9400, but it is not passively cooled and quiet appeals to me.

Anandtech seems to think so: AnandTech: ATI Radeon HD 4350 and 4550: Great HTPC Solutions
The 4xxx series has UVD2 onboard decoding, should be great for watching any type of movie including 1080p.

Yup works great for HTPC usage.

I have the Gigabyte HD4350, even though it has a fan, I cannot hear it. Even if I set it at 100% I still don't, though my case fans and what not aren't totally silent.

So a 4670 1GB would be even better ? I'm thinking of using my "extra" parts and building me something simple.

It wouldn't have any benefits if it's just a HTPC. If you're gaming too, then yeah it would work better.
