Not sure since it's a "special" jack as you can clearly see the red light emitting from it. No idea if it has the proper electrical contacts inside for an adapter like that to work.

Ah got ya, I think it won't work like jdrom17 said it's a special jack. I believe analog when used like a regular jack and digital when the Toslink adapteris inserted? You'll probably have to use the Toslink adapter and the S/PDIF to Coax converter you have.

Hey, I checked, the 8400GS I picked is 65nm G98 with VC-1 video decoding, and that 9600GSO is the older G92. Good catch though, 9600GSO is essentially 8800GS in power department.

Really? 8400 is G98? That's neat.

It used to be G86 and they re-released it as G98 under the same name.

At the end of 2007, NVIDIA released a new Geforce 8400 GS based on the G98 (D8M) chip.[8] It is quite different from the G86 used for the "first" 8400 GS, as the G98 features VC-1 video decoding completely in hardware, lower power consumption, lowered 3D-performance and a smaller fabrication process. The G98 also features dual-link DVI support and PCI Express 2.0. G86 and G98 cards are both sold as "8400 GS", the difference can only be told from technical specifications.

Artistpavel, I have an Antec Fusion Remote Max that I'm looking to get rid of. It has seen very light use and is in perfect condition. If you are interested let me know. Canada Computers - Cases > Desktop/Cube : Antec Fusion Remote MAX Media ATX Desktop Case.

Thanks
