Who is your cable provider? I drop Star Choice and my Hauppage HD PVR in a heartbeat if i could do this.

i have heard of this. Unfortunately if your with rogers and it has a firewire port it is mose definitely disabled (the USB ports on my PACE box are eventhough i bought the box). Basically there is no easy way to do this. (aside from paying the high price for a provider supplied PVR or suffering with the HD-PVR.) Unless of course your happy with using HD-OTA.
