The prices on Tigerdirect.ca have to be honored by the stores too, so really it is hard to compare tigerdirect with NCIX since tigerdirect is more like Bestbuy or Futureshop... which Tigerdirect usually beats their price.
NCIX has store fronts as well, so I don't see the comparison.

Only things that ever tweak my interest at tiger direct are their lower end bundles. I've seen some decent older motherboard/ram/cpu bundles go for under $100 which paired with a cheapo ($40) case/psu purchased locally & a used 17" CRT would be a good start to a sub $250 internet machine.

Hold on. Is that an 850W PSU for a QX9650 and 3 8800GTX's? Dont they recommend more than 1000W for TrippleSLI?

As far as I know, I wouldn't even trust 1000w for 3 8800GTX's , I'd just like to know who the brain child at Tiger was who decided to put that thing together and $7k???...come on now...lol

Maybe just for fun I'll call them tomorrow and ask how many they have in stock, my guess would be....1??...lol

So by that reasoning since they have no Stores in Quebec shouldn't I get a discount as well as pay no Quebec sales tax

NCIX, Direct Canada etc don't charge me Quebec sales tax

I didn't even know NCIX had store fronts, but Tigerdirect buys their products in the US and ships them up here, and are also constantly expanding in the GTA (in regards to # of stores). Also if you've even been to a Tigerdirect Retail store there are about 15 employees at a time there. They are big stores too, not as big as Futurshop... and they aren't in the appliance business like Futureshop (not sure who goes to Futureshop looking for a fridge...) but I'm guessing that NCIX stores probably don't have as many related costs so they can keep their prices lower then Tigers. Although I don't really know, anyone ever been to an NCIX store?

- oh and tigerdirect has some good monitor deals every now and then, and since you can go into their stores you can check for deal pixals... if you order it online they consider the monitor good if it has up to something like 7 dead ones...

- Also I made a post in the deals section for a 1tb hard drive that they are selling for around $80 less then NCIX

I don't know what u mean by discount... if you mean that because there are no stores in Quebec... no... they still have to pay for the stores they do have elsewhere, the cost gets added into their overhead and therefore the markup on each item.

But no... I don't know why they would collect Quebec sales tax from you... they arn't in Quebec... they should collect GST though. There might be a reason why they collect Quebec sales tax?
