Distributed Computing Histories.....

I'm curious about the hardcore DC'ers here.

While I'm a newb to the HWC team , I've done some previous work , And I'd like to see where people sit.

Here's my history under the alias of 'BrainEater' ;

I started with SETI in 98 or 99....Until seti 1 finished , (SETI 'classic' now) :
2553 WU
11410 hrs 34 mins 28 secs CPU time
~7914 TFlops

My Folding stats for MTB :
1184 WU
192,066 pts

4 WU so far.......

In little over a year; not bad:

From: 3.0charlie - User Summary - EXTREME Overclocking Folding @ Home Stats, since FAH Stats are down ATM.

I did a little bit of SETI when it first came out just because it was a cool idea.

Folded for quite a while under the the old DFI-Street banner, but that was with some semprons and my main 3700+ so the points I put up in my first month of folding for HWC with my 6420 surpassed what I'd done for the first site easily. :)

I also did some SETI when I first heard of it, the idea was sound and the thought appealed.

I just started folding 24 Aug 08, I wanted one of them cool tags! And it is a great cause!

Like others I did some some SETI early on, Started Folding at the end of June '08, Boinc shortly after...

If you divide 3.0charlie's and Braineater's WUs by a factor of about 1000, you'll come up with the little bit that I've done on Boinc so far.

Rome wasn't built in a day.

BTW, with my oc'ed system, im running anywhere from 10k-15k a day, but this is a differant cruching appie, and its cpu based also :)

Nope , Rome was'nt built in a day.

"Every drop counts !! " the old woman said as she pissed into the sea.

As much as I enjoy the PPD racing ( I've stepped over 61 bodies on my way to Cptn Vortex's front door in the last 4 days.heheh , the next 16 will be harder. )....

But truely ,it really isn't a race. It's about doing your part.

I started with SETI because it was cool too.Best screensaver evar.....when folding came out , I decided to stay with SETI simply out of loyalty.....I'm glad it ended tho , I do think folding is more productive in the short term.

Tazer-[x] : I havn't seen that one.Is that the grid CERN uses ?

Did some folding for anandtech a while back. A guy I worked with installed seti on all the school's machines one summer but got in a little trouble. I'm doing his job now...wonder how many points I would get if I had 315 P4s folding? Prolly the same as my one 4870 lol.
Started again for HWC but having video issues. Will start folding again when I isolate the issue and may dedicate a box to folding as well.
