3870 - 2200-2400ppd
8800GTS - 3200-3600ppd

3870 in CF which supposedly slows it down but I dunno if that is true..

According to posts on the Folding Forum, with the new WU's [4742-4747] You should be getting close to the 3800~4000 PPD mark. Even 4850's are starting to get between 3200~3500 PPD.
Things are quickly getting more even, my 9800GTX dropped by 1800~2000 PPD, Ouch...

I'm still unaffected, folding 5506s on both rigs. Though there were a few hick-ups this afternoon: 3 WUs in row that failed, on the same rig (the Q6600).

On WU 5020 I'm down to 3400PPD, but like what 3.0charlie said above if your running 5506 will not be affected, I get 6000PPD on 5506

I'm done with this for now. Power consumption increased a good 15%-20% and the heat increase makes my test room go from uncomfortable to disgustingly hot. While it may be for a good cause, I may start again in the winter.

I will see what happens by switching to an ATI card though. I have a few HD4850s hanging around. They consume about as much power as a 8800 GTS 512MB while producing FAR less heat. I think that is my best bet right about now since I want to keep folding.

And on a side note, folding-wise the HD4670 should compete with the 9600GT which could make it the new price / performance / power consumption / heat leader i nthe folding arena...once drivers support it. And once they do, you will DEFINATELY see two or four of them folding from me. I mean 40W MAX per card is amazing.
