Unfortunately no; ATI is having is butt kicked big time by nVidia folding-wise.... you're better off with your 8800GT!

Dave, why is it that I always belive you have a Quad? Yes, that will make a difference: install a single FAH client, not 2.

Well I am keeping my 8800GT, that will be going in my second rig. Thats the left overs I had when I upgrade this rig, plus I have your old cpu 2140. I'm just wondering since I wanted to have the ATI card. hmm maybe I should just get one GTX 260.

Unfortunately the ATi folding client is not as productive as the Nvidia client, from what I read the WU's are too small to make use of all the stream processors and it gets very CPU intensive. Stanford is supposed to be releasing bigger WU's that will be more efficient.

The best PPD I've seen for the 4xxx series is around 3200 PPD. Any ATi card would be blown away by even a 8800GS [4800 PPD OC] let alone a 8800GT [5000+ PPD]...

No no - your C2D is quite fine, running at 4.0Ghz. But if you wish to have the best ppd, try what I wrote, minus the second client installation.
