Nvidia GPU Client Download!!!

So I "upgraded" to a 4870 yesterday. While I love the increased FPS gaming over my 8800GT, I hate the downgrade in PPD in the GPU Client. I went from 4750PPD to 2750. Boo, hiss!

What is up with ATI folding ? Didn't GPU folding start out with ATI cards initially ?
I guess someone needs to optimize a new client for ATI.

Yes, I have seen a few farms of this magnitude, but strictly C2D / C2Q farms. We had our own farmer last year - pscout had a 16 C2Q farm. Unfortunately he left us. But GPU farms? Not yet.

Addictive dosn't describe it, I'm hooked but good. Already planning a new rig just for Folding then maybe switching my quad over to Boinc to help there...

It's too bad pscout left, even tho he was before my time I learned alot from his posts. I hope it was an amicable split...

It's too bad the ATI client isn't as strong as the Nvidia one. While the team is doing quite well, with so many folks switching to the 4xxx series the lower PPD isn'tworth it to many and they stop Folding...

I won't be adding another card for a while. I would need to do a psu upgrade as well.

I wanted to add another card to my rig but would have had to do the same. You must have a few in there now you've got over 12000 points already today!...

9800gx2 on the single slot board (thanks SKYMTL !)
8800gts on the other one
and LOTS of cooling !!
