I put a Q6700 into the secondary rig and clocked it to 3.2GHz (not much of an OC, but the P5K vanilla doesn't seem to want to give it much more and vdroop is insane!!)
Anyway, it gets the job done and it's insane overkill for what it does, but at least I sort of justify my hardware acquisition syndrome by folding. I bought that Q6700 to see how far I could push it, but it didn't give me any more than I got out of my (now sold) Q6600. I've calmed down a bit now that I've found a great stable setup and I've put all the extra stuff up for sale.
Hehe... I did the same too. Taking a break on parts purchases - computer parts, that is. I'm back into an old love of mine, photography. Costly hobby too...
No doubt. I've already got a big summer hobby (Toronto FC) so that takes up a lot of my time and money in the summer. But the hardware I've got now is going to have to last me for a while...
