Yep, the client will ask you what team you want to join. (There are good directions on exactly how to do this at the start of this thread).

On another note......

The much-sought-after HWC folding tags are now available to our Rosetta Folders!!!!!

Please drop a line into this thread Folding tag requests once your first completed WU (or task in Boinc) is registered and we'll do our best to get you a tag soonest.

Interesting how BOINC has gathered that many folders with a stable client, while the new GPU clients on the FAH actually revived the Team with new blood.

As soon as I receive that HD4870 (which is tonight!), I'll set it up and start GPU folding.

And make both Teams happy.

Yes it's great to see!!!

I've often had "issues" with the way the FAH clients are run. The folks running it often can't see past the science outcome, and are sometimes slow to react to the social engineering aspect of getting people to fold for them.

The Boinc client is a lot more people friendly.

I'd really like to join in on this. I've got my GPU being used for F@H right now. The only problem is if I let BOINC use 100% of my CPU it will be 50+ degrees, and I don't know if it's wise to keep it up that high 24/7. What do you guys think?

That's the beauty of the boinc client. You can specify what percentage of CPU power you want it to use which would allow you to fine tune your CPU temps to where you are comfortable.

For myself.... I'm comfortable with my CPUs running 24/7 as long as the temps are under 60c (my quad is around 52 - 54c with GPU/FAH/Rosetta running on it).

Well I've got it installed and I love all the control I have over the client. I love that it detects my cores automatically. It really makes folding some much more accessible for users. I'm going to let it do 12 hours a day for a little while and see how that goes, and go up from there. I thought my overclock was stable but this will really put it to the test. So count me in!

however you can set BOINC to run as a service and it will automatically restart your project, and you don't lose any points as long as it's done within the time specified

I’ll try that Scratch.
I put a second puter working on it, on old P4 I have at work.
I figure I’ll have this folding thing solved about a year or two before the sun explodes.
