RAC is Recent Average Credit. I'm not exactly sure how it is calculated. You can check it by clicking on "your account" under "tasks" in the Boinc manager.

Hey chrisk....you in Ajax too I see, howdy neighbour
Lol yeah we can have a Boincing meeting at Magwyers....

I was wondering about RAC too and found this link last night: BOINC Credit System - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Does a decent job explaining how credits are awarded.

My numbers may be all over the place in the next while as my FAH GPU numbers went from mid 4000s to ~1900 after running Boinc, and thats even after telling Boinc to use one core of my 6400+. Will be doing some looking around to try to keep my FAH numbers up while running Boinc.

Good to see da 'Jax represented Kruzn!

ok thanks larry, I get it....hmmm...mine is 117.92 with total credit of 1223 in approx. 20 hrs....that looks off compared to 1100 RAC. I'm running @ 3.6GHz with all 4 cores 100%...download speeds look slow, is that normal? I'm on highest speed rogers.

yeah chris, Jax is on the map now...lol

RAC takes a few days to stabilise.

5 of 6 full days should get you at a good RAC representative level.

If it started just after you upped your OC, then it's more than likely unstable.

ok, thanks ss, I'll drop the OC and see what happens, everything else is running stable so I'm a little surprised but I'll see how it goes at 3.8

hmmm...I guess it likes 3.8 better, seems to run fine, not sure why it doesn't like 4.0 but maybe I'll tinker with the settings more and see if I can get it stable at 4.0
