Well I have added my third POS Acer Laptop well not POS but cheap AMD....that wont add much but it is always idle so it's always gonna be running except when I use it as a DVD player....

I have a devious plan...I am not sure if I can do it without running past the big wiggs but I might be able to add 12-64 E8200 Dual Cores to our Global (Canadian) Boinc power that could process from 9pm to 8am everyday.....I say 12-64 PC's because I could add Boinc to my 12 PC test bench and no one would notice...I could add 64 if I could get all 3 labs running....with permission from above...or this is the devious part --- No one would notice if I set the labs to Run it discreetly as long as it doesn't interfere with student lab work.

I could probably convince Head Office that it was some social... moral ....positive.... gesture...or something.

It is a moral gesture :) there is a lot of university giving their lab when not in use.

and congrats to our 30th member.

Not completely sure if that's just a glitch in the database, but it's a hell of a figure if it's right!!!!!

With the postiton we got in the RAC : 35 out of 7356 and the fact that canada have not that many participants, I would say it is about right.

Regardless of the wonderful points that offers, I believe permission is required from administration otherwise you could end up in a fair bit of trouble. Just thinking back on something I read once that it may even be against the law to install it on a friends pc without their permission.

Yeah I would definetly pass it through the proper channels before installing in on the labs computers...I do value my job more then I value our HWC boinc position.....However I may add it to my test bench on at least half of them....I can use it as a good CPU temp tester.......I just think it may help bring our RAC and national contribution up quite a bit.
