WOOT I just surpassed Mister Wilson in RAC. 2nd place .... Now, I think Dalton is pretty much an untouchable for me.

Somebody want to take the crown from him ?

Heh... don't get too comfortable up there.... my quad was down for almost a week, and it's just now coming back up (up from 3G to 3.5g to boot.... :) ).

Oops better enjoy it while it last....

BTW, I was looking at the top computers ranking for Rosetta :

Top hosts

If you see the 37th, this guy is using the same CPU has me (Qx9650)

then you go into the detailed computer stats and you see the measured floating point and integer speed.

His :

Measured floating point speed : 3906.49 million ops/sec
Measured integer speed : 11297.82 million ops/sec

mine :

Measured floating point speed : 4147.72 million ops/sec
Measured integer speed : 12078.4 million ops/sec

So, I suppose this means I got a higher overclock than his. We also have the same amount of RAM, but there is no information about RAM speed.

Now his RAC : 2918.69

My RAC : 1305.60

The only difference between us 2 is the number of Task finished I am at 168 and he is at 405.

Could this explain the variance in RAC ? This is a lot of difference if you ask me. But then again, if all the task are included in the RAC even if there is 2 week half life decay, this could be the explanation.

How long have you been running at that clockspeed? It takes quite a while for RAC to recognize your output.

Yeah I guess it would be the case I have been running at that speed for about 5 days. I'll see in 2-3 weeks where it stands.

Are you running your rig 24/7 with 100% cpu usage, and 100% network availability?

Also it takes about a month for RAC to reach a peak, not 2 weeks.

Yeah just cheked, the RAC of the CPU got 70 points with the completion of 7 task. It is still ramping up fast.
