cwestwell - Welcome aboard!

sswilson - Go Baby Go!

encorp - I know what you mean, I'm trying to think of ways to fold with even the chips in the household appliances. Wonder how many credits a guy could get out of a Braun coffee pot?

I am waiting to here back from Coolit about a custom CPU/GPU Boreas loop...Then I will start F@H and crank my CPU back up for Boinc without fearing total meltdown. Then of course the current rig will become my HTPC and Folding beast when the i7 X58 systems come around....F&^@ this never ends.

I just put an order in at NCIX for another E8400 so I'll finally have my DDR3 rig crunching along in about a week. Between my two rigs I should hit about 2500 credits a day, um...WOOT! Sorry had to woot.

Edit- Welcome K3nny, cwestwall, and encorp, where were my manners?

I'm climbing!

encorp 2,755 209.39 Canada

Rechecked my OC (Havn't touched memory yet) but I am DEFINITELY certain I'm stable at 3.0ghz and 1.3vcore, OCCT for 3 hours and Prime95 for 24 and no errors!

Didn't do A LOT of folding during the tests but I've managed to keep a core or two going in between etc, once I get my memory done I'll be rockin!

To recap my almost-week-long experience with GPUGrid:

My average credit is almost the same with Rosetta. Rosetta was run on overclocked E4300 at 3.0GHz, GPUGrid was run on Superclocked EVGA 8800GT. Not sure why the similar credit. It's possible that each project has their own ways/calculations to assign credits.

So far my only gripe on GPUGrid is, it doesn't seem to detect when my computer is in use or idle like the CPU-based projects on BOINC. I definitely can't run it while playing game (totally kills the FPS). Even when web browsing, scrolling webpages feels so choppy. Basically, the program is not smart enough yet to detect when the computer is idle.

I'm surprised by the high RAC of the E1200, and even more surprised by the low RAC of the E6400... did you just put it online?

Yeah, the 6400 has only been up for a day, and probably won't be with me much longer than a week. :)

The E1200 is clocked at 2800 under air so it puts out a pretty decent RAC in spite of the small cache size.

I'm actually pretty impressed with the E8400 since it's running on one core, and only loads that core about 70%.

Heh... took looking closely at the top pic for me to realise that the young lad's been putting off allowing SP3 to install. (Guess what's happening while he's gone to school??? :) ).
