Yes, unfortunately - no time for a long oc setup. Eventually... now I'm shopping for 18" winter tires... hello MasterCard!

Under Rosetta@home preferences, does anyone know what the setting "Target CPU run time" does? Is it advantageous to manually set this parameter?

Unlike F@H which is one WU = set number of points, In Boinc you run models of the WU. The "Target CPU run time" determines how long your cpu runs models of each WU. This is also why a higher OC on the CPU and Memory generates a higher granted credit vs claimed credit, you can run more models of the WU in the set amount of time as compared to their benchmarks...

I've set it to six hours for now. Will compare numbers with the unspecified setting which took about 2 hours and 40 minutes or less for each WU regardless of the model of cpu. We'll see what happens. Thanks for the info.

Default CPU time

I personnaly set the cpu time to 3 hours.

Also, the way you explained the calculation would be the reason I have lower granted vs claimed credit in the evening since I am using my cpu for other intensive task like encoding media while crunching.

Welcome to HWC and the Boinc team k3nnny. Great to have you on board. As you can see, I'm still working the bugs out myself.

Well I am in...I re-activated my boinc account and joined the team I was hoping HWC would have other projects but Rosetta is cool. Anyway I was more familiar with Boinc and my CPU runs much cooler then my GPU until I get a new cooling setup.
