My System Specs

Default 13000 WU's ???

So it's almost noon and I checked on my PC to see how FAH is doing. Ambient air temp is 7.5c... GPU's @ 32 and 34c... Things are ok no need for the secondary heater (to avoid condensation). Lets open the FAH Controller... #13,000 WU's... Hmmm... They're HUGE... 8% done and 7.5HRs to go on a 290X's... HUGE... But the PPD is up!

.....13% finished now. The cards were saying an estimated 315K PPD... EACH
Then the PPD was down to 160K per card. As I am writing this it is back up to about 315K each. I am just in the FAH "advanced control" window viewing these numbers.

Why the fluctuations?
Should I use something better to track my performance and productivity?
I am new to FAH but I have some very VERY ambitious goals for my folding. What is a good way to track my long term progress?

This site is awesome. I've wanted to fold for years but my modest hardware VS the cost of electricity was preventative... Things have since changed on both fronts. I've got some time to make up for

With my GTX780Ti @ 1340/3875 my PPD based on the actual credit amount upon upload was about 285K, which is about 15K higher than a P8900. The PPD fluctuates a lot w/ the FAH client. If you want to see stable estimated PPD try using HFM.net.

Feels like just a few years ago when I was getting ridiculously high PPD w/ my i7-920 @ 4.8GHz on phase change. IIRC it was like 40K PPD. Now I don't even bother folding with something unless it is 100K+.
