Yes, you need the -beta tag to get the new fahcore17. Remove it from your Nvidia gpu's, and you should go back to fahcore16

Thanks. It sure is nice to hear the CPUs squealing again.

There's no doubt in my mind that the problem could very well be on Nvidia's end, but the continuing claims that these particular issues are related to lower compute ability seem to be misplaced if not outright dishonest.
Don't fold then?

I probably don't have a big of an understanding as you do about that post. But for me, it tells me that if I want to continue to have max PPD, don't use beta. That and run NVIDIA's latest drivers, as I always do.

Isn't core 16 AMD only. Am I missing something here.

I was using -beta on my 570 until a windows update caused some trouble that required me to dump a wu. I hate doing that. I tried everything I could think of to save it, but to no avail.

Stuck on core 15 ver 2.25 Seems that lots of wu's don't like ver 2.22 now.

Oh well.....

This is core 17 and is coded using opencl to allow it to run on both AMD and Nvidia cards.

so in the light of this new WU, is it working on the integrated GPU in the FM2 chips, the radeon 7x60 parts?

So is it safe to assume a 7850 clocked at 1GHz will do 25% less meaning 30k PPD? I am very tempted to get one myself, wattage wise a 7850 at full load consumes about 110W.

SO are you saying that I could run my 7770HD card ( yes I know now that great for folding) on my 2p system and combine them , or would it be better to just pull the 7770HD card and drop in my old 260gtx, I guess what I am asking is can I use both CPU and GPU together and if so which VId card to use in combination ?

I have seen a 7870 doing 43k PPD with the latest AMD beta drivers, so your 7770 will do half most probably (if clocked @ 1GHz), and the GTX260 will do around 8k PPD while consuming a lot more power, I would say not worthy. 10e has posted a google doc in the previous posts, find it and have a look. But you need to install the latest beta drivers from AMD for best performance.

I'm using the latest 13.3 beta drivers and use a 7950 for folding (oc'ed to 1100Mhz), and I never saw it fold more than 33k ppd. Now to read that a 7870 can do 40k is rather interesting.
