Ok , so it's looking like about 8k ppd , but there's some more testing to do.

Not bad for a 130$ processor.

Yeah I get 8.4K PPD out of my OC'd PhII 965, and with the current state of GPU folding it's not worth the power / heat to do SMP with it.

Yea my q9450 did far better too.

It seemed to me , it was the best deal I could find.It IS just a video card host. The 580 is folding away merrily and it looks like the SMP aint tanking , so , Im happy.I'll cram a second card in right away !

If the SMP numbers hold with cards 2 in , it's a win forsure.It's not a 3930k forsure , but for a 250$ bundle......

What WUs were they? There are a few older WUs still kicking around which haven't been (and apparently won't be) re-benchmarked.

I'm getting 35k+ PPD on mine on a relatively light OC. That's also with straight stock FAH settings, no more beta or adv switches for me after having v2.25 (core a15) dumped to my machine from the -advmethods setting.

Try the V7 again maybe? I'm running 100K+ w/ 1 680, 1 580, and around 30K+ SMP on the hex core i7. Assuming 40K for the 680 that leaves aprox 30K that I seem to be averaging on the 580.

40 k on the 680 ? no way !!

The 580 should outperform the 680 I believe.

Hehe..mebbie I'm wrong tho.

Something definitely not set correctly then here on my end.

I run 3 580's , 2x 285's , 2x 250's , 1x 260 and smp on 3930k ,smp on 2600k and smp on fx 6300.

My stats tell me 177 kppd.Seems low I'd say ?!!

That's stock settings on my EVGA SC 680 card.

I don't currently have any of the third party monitoring software to display everything together.

That's the 580 @ 851 / 2005

!!

I'm switching over to v7.The only reason I stayed with v6 was to avoid the 16k units ( I was getting 25k units.....)

Related to the OP , the fx-6300 is doing 7600 ppd with two graphics cards bangin , that's not too bad.

If you're switching over to the V7 you might want to look through the forums. Seems to me there might be an issue WRT not getting rid of all the old GPU.txt files (were required for kepler, not sure about fermi) and/or full clean ininstalls of FAH files which have been causing either low PPD or cards to not run at all.

Bottom line (IIRC) was to make absolutely sure you removed all traces of previous FAH installs prior to re-installing.
