Someone try it ? since you can update a old XP to 8 for $ 40 it may be worth if someone don't have Technet

I haven't tried it myself. However, if the early signs of GPU performance under Windows 8 are any indication, I would guess that yields would be marginally better.

All of my current PPD is under Windows 8. CPU only though, as whenever I made my GTX 460 fold as well the machine would crash. I am certain this is Win8/driver related, as both folded fine under Windows 7.

Other than that, I don't have much to offer as I just set-it and forget-it these days.

I have a GTX 670 folding under Windows 8 without issue right now using client 7.29.
