Default Am I Missing Something? F@H on Bulldozer

I have the new V7 client running on a Bulldozer system (stock FX-8150) and received a standard GRO-A4 core WU.

All of the cores are fully loaded.

Tracking with the client + HFM.

And yet my PPD only reads as 1712 PPD. 1min 39 seconds TPF.

Can that be right? Shouldn't I be getting something like 8K PPD??

In my experience, Bulldozer and the sister server chips, ie., Interlagos, don't do nearly as well as they should for folding... Others are welcome to dispute this :)

The difference is extreme though. This is Bulldozer versus Bulldozer, not against Intel.

What is your OS? It wouldn't happen to be 32-bit would it?

Trust me, everything seems to be A-OK and it is Win 7 Ultimate x64 . All other benchmarks are right in-line. Minus the PPD results that is.

The first wu you download is usually a crappy standard A4 which yields very low PPD... subsequent wu's (A3's) should yield much better...

Are you sure you're not looking at the base credit instead of the PPD? It should actually be much more than 8k even, unless you're running some GPU slots in the same machine, of course. Here is a link with some useful folding information for your CPU:

I think I know what the issue was. Tell me if I'm out to lunch. Neither HFM nor the V7 client's viewer calculates bonus points. If I set HFM to calculate bonus, it shows almost 12K PPD. Makes sense?

is that on an 8 core bulldozer @ stock? 12K makes sense I suppose since it performs about the same as a hex core PH II. V7 client does show TPF, expected points and estimated PPD.

True but V7 doesn't show bonus, which is typically taken into account whe calculating total PPD, no?
