New system for Folding

So I have been looking at guide to build a 4P folding rig this fall.

I'm wondering if those supermicro 4P motherboard would fit in my Cosmos II.
Seems it would fit but maybe a little bit tight.

Do you guys think it would fit?

If so, I might switch my current system to another case and fit the 4P into the Cosmos II.

Also, would making a 4P folding rig as a file server under linux impact performance alot?

I do not believe they would fit in the Cosmos 2. The 4p boards extend above the I/O ports, and the Cosmos 2 doesn't have enough room above the I/O ports to allow the board.

you might want to think to make it like an open air system or get one of those tech stations, from Caselabs or HighSpeed PC. There was one in the BST section for sale

Well open air is not really an option since I live in a small condo and we are having a puppy soon.
Would not want him to make friend with an open air 4P.

From what I have been reading lately I might go for an HAF X or Xigmatek Elysium and mod when necessary.

Electricity is not an issue but noise is so it would need to be silent.

The other option would be a case I could rackmount.
Since I'm planning to buy a house in about 2 years, I could store a few of those more easily.
