New ATI GPU Client for HD3xxx-series and HD2900-series!!!
Well guys, I just got an email from a contact I have announcing the new ATI GPU client open BETA for both HD2900-series and HD3-series cards

Premilinary information seems to indicate that these things fold like no-one's business.

More information can be found here: Folding@home

Too bad I don't have a HD3870... but I do know that a couple of folding members were interested in such a client.

Hmmm. HD3870...

Thanks for the info.

Now we have a reason to buy 3870 over 8800GT. :thumb:

which hd3850's are they i might be interested in both so i could then have Crossfire X. Muw ha ha ha :D

I am keeping the HD3850s for some future reviews.

FYI, it seems like people are having issues with this client since even overclocked C2D processors seem to be bottlenecking the GPU

Yeah need quad for effective CPU + GPU folding. I wonder if GPU can do more PPD than a regular C2D, will have to test.

I'm trying it right now, so I'll see how it goes.
