Welcome to what's left of our SR-2 club, just remember to watch those socket temps.

You should have no problem getting those chips upto ~3.6 GHz with a good board and a little tweaking, that should be good for ~160k-> 180k+ on a 6903 wu.

I've been trying to sell my last SR2 for about 3 months now.

Similar to what OP did (which, I believe he bought that board from me, lol) if a HWC folder wanted to fold for the team, i'd do a smokin' deal also. Message for details.

well i will need help to get it doing those kinda numbers since i really never setup an smp before this morning on my 3770k and 2600k system which was kinda easy hope it's that easy on the sr-2 and ya i wanted one for a long time so glad i got it on a wicked deal adn i will make sure she folding asap guys. I haven't been giddy over pc parts in about 3 years but i am now i got an sr-2 coming with 6 core ships and a socket 2011 in the mail too weee going to be a really fun week next week thanks all

^^ I suppose there are two ways to setup smp folding on the SR-2. i'd start off with the the windows client as you will probably be overclocking and will want to have a quick setup to make sure everything is stable. Then If you don't plan to add any video cards and just strictly want smp, your best bet would be to follow Tear's ubuntu setup for dual socket intel boards over at [H].

edit: probably ubuntu only if you wanted to do 24/7 bigadv folding
