I think those 511's just don't like Nvidia cards, your 260 should beat my GTX+'s by a much larger margin on the 353pt WU's. I get 5960ppd on a 384pt and 7148ppd on a 353pt.
The reason you don't see the 'slightly higher' setting is because you are probably using the console GPU client, it has the 'Idle' or 'Low' settings same as the SMP client with 'Low' being the equivalent. The 'slightly higher' setting is AFAIK only on the systray version.
I use the console on Rig1 and the systray on Rig2 and have found no difference in stability or resource usage. I used the systray on Rig2 as I found it easier to config, especially for a multi GPU set-up.
Are you still going to use linux on your Folding rig, how is that going ???
