As a noob, I'm not exactly sure what "priming" is. Can someone please define this so that I don't accidently do it?

Priming is stopping non-time sensitive WUs at 99% prior to the start and then turning them on immediately once the flag is dropped so that you start with a heavy lead.

I think it applies mostly for the BigADV folders, since it takes them a few days to complete one work unit. For us smaller folders that do many work units a day, I really don't think it's a huge deal.

Small revision to the points calculation (more of a fixed mistake):
Quote:
Please note a final small change in the rules for how to work out the handicap, in particular this line

"Finally, we subtract the lowest score + 10 (64.4 +10) from all teams, to bring the points into a 10-110 range (10 for lowest team, 110 for highest team):"

So that the 10 - 110 line works.

I don't think so, as it will affect the bonus. I think it applies only to the WUs processed by GPU, those don't have any bonus

I will need the key sent to me as well.
(We don't want to openly post the key? Security concerns? Cheating?)

cheers

Yep cheating....the key is HWC private.

It's because you could kill the bigadv bonus by spamming error'd units.

On an other note... if we are folding bigadv for the CC and we start a new WU close to the end of the competition that we know won't finish and upload before the close of the Challenge, will the team get credit for it? If not then should we switch over to regular smp for the last day or so?

-hope this is clear enough.
