I can only assume part of this was helped due to all those who protein fold.

Maybe.

It will definitely be the cause of some new work units simulating this new process as researchers try to figure out what's happening and why.

Here's the deal :

The cd47 'marker' is the genetic footprint that tell's white blood cells/t-cells 'not-to eat' a given cell.

Cancer cells have the 'dont eat me' marker.

By inhibiting this marker , the body can kill it's own cancers.....and it's not cancer specific , it appears to work generally......

It's an amazing discovery !

so your saying they could make something that by injecting directly into a tumor can disable the marker allowing the body to effectively treat it self? it could either be ground breaking or be a horrible dead end, we'll see in time.
