Folding toybox
 

I know a lot of us trade hardware around for folding , let's get a thread going for parts ;needed/have..

If somebody needs something to get a folding rig going ,but is missing a part kinda thang.

p.s. I just saw yer bitmining operation.I thought folders had it bad.hawhaw.....What ATI cards are good for mining ? ( I have no idea , dun wanna recycle something I should'nt. )

Yeah, 5830 or newer, stay away from the el-cheapo's if you want it to be worth while. Best $/production card is a used 5970. Best "density" is accomplished with pci-e extender cables, since even x1 pci-e slots dont slow down the mining process, squeezing 6+ gpu's on a mobo and a couple psu's is best.

better trade the 5830 for some GX2s if you want folding, but you will need a good PSU for them

Have a DFI P35-TR2L to throw on the mobo pile.

I have an absolute tonne of gear in boxes and shelves / drawers that I can get rid of. I don't have time to take pictures / put up for sale on the BST threads. If a folder needs some things, i'll look back every week or so at this thread if I have anything of use.

I was thinking bad at getting another 9800GX2, is just that they put out an unreasonable amount of heat and summer is coming.
