I installed the newest drivers for the 7950 but it doesn't seem to make a difference in the PPD.

Folding implementation on ATI cards aint great , even on the openmmgpu stuff.......

I'm not sure what the ATI 7970 (the top card ?) can do for PPD , but I suspect with these new units a 580 would double it in production.

I would suggest you probably won't get 8031 ( and new today : 8033) units on your ATI card , but yah never know....I'm not sure myself . I'll ask.

It's a damn good thing I run a 1-4-7 setup on my video cards , and have a ups.If my rig was plugged into the wall , and running 1-3-5 , I'd have had issues. I bet the middle card would have caught fire lol.

What SLI bridge do you use for a 1-4-7 setup? I've been thinking of doing this as well but I can't seem to find a good bridge for that arrangement.

given those numbers, my 560TI doubles it with little effort. it normally runs about 12-13k I'm at 18k pretty stable right now with these new projects.

I've started seeing artifacting with my cards in gaming at default speeds.... now, I can't say for sure that these WUs fried one of them, but it's either that, or a problem with the new Nvidia drivers ... both are new for today.....

Wouldn't be the first time a WU caused problems with factory OC'd cards......

I just uninstalled the gpu client from my kid's machine... temps were running way too high (91 degrees @ 80% fan speed, GTX 470). Too hot for my liking... don't want to risk damaging the card as I can't babysit that machine... Also had to install additional cooling fans on my other two gpu folders as the temps on them had crept into the 80's... hot...hot...hot... Hopefully nothing gets fried...

I'll fold a few GPU WUs on the 7970 tomorrow evening. I'll keep you posted.

I don't get why you guys are getting all these really high heats. I went up from 60 to 66 with these projects. and that's with an OC of 1GHz.

When were these units starting to get sent out? With that drastic of an increase of power consumption I'm scared to GPU fold in case it kills my PSU :(
