Default What have i done Wrong? No BIGADV work units for me

What have i done Wrong? No BIGADV work units for me, Ive successfully folded 33 (and counting)A3 Core SMP work units on my 16core folding pc, followed all set up steps SMP install guide for Folding @ Home to flag it for BigAdv, yet it keeps on churning out smp units (i'm not complaining) but i was hoping for a nice point injection from the bigadv.

Details:
2p rig 2x6128's
8GB Ram
OS (i know chastise me) Win7 Ult 64bit (i was in a hurry to get the box up and folding when i returned from vacation, and i dare not turn it off now)

I realize there have been changes to the minimum requirements for folding bigadv. I thought i snuck in with my 16 core 2P folder......

What we've got here is a failure to communicate.

Some processors you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it... well, he gets it. I don't like it any more than you men.

or you can just use virtual box and then download the image from here Folding@Home - VMWare Player 3.0 and Folding Bigadv Support - LinuxForge.net which is what I used to use for my main PC that way all you do is fire up virtual box run the image and config it your done and you still have windows. Now I haven't tried this on my 2 p system but I would think that it still works might not get the same numbers . if you do this can you post the numbers so to help me decide to try this

Virtual box isn't much better at folding in windows, than windows itself. The overhead of windows kills it.
Yeah, you get a little more out if you have a 16+ core system from going from smp to bigadv, but it's a pain in the butt to have running all the time, and is pretty flakey sometimes.
If it's your main computer, you can give it a go.. but if it's a folding box only - do a baremetal linux install.

remember to set the workunit size as large in the config, with the proper arguments and you're off to the races. Happy folding.

Definitely give native linux folding a shot. Its far easier than you might think and there are many guides that can be found online to set it up.

Install ubuntu server, and follow the guides in the HPCS thread from EVGA, its very simple to get going.

Stick to 10.10 with no updates. And makes sure you set the Client with advmethods = no, and add the -bigadv -smp 16 flags in the config.
