Has anyone else thought of this?

Has anyone thought that one day someday in the future, a unit you folded helped cure a disease and without that unit that you folded, the cure could not have been discovered.

Would be cool to know if a specific unit you folded cured a disease.

For now, we ALL will have to bask in the glory :)

Would be more cool if you at least got some credit for it but we all know that wouldn't happen.

Would be cool to get a case badge that says "This computer found the cure to (insert disease)." That would be nice but highly doubt it'll ever happen or even know the user at all. You know what is more interesting to think about, to me anyways, what if a unit you folded cured a disease you later got diagnosed with?

or at least to have a cap or anything else to show in public so the people would know that you are doing something useful. like Member of the Hardware Canucks folding team. I see often on cars in Montreal (and I am pretty sure other cities too) : proud parent of XYZ Highschool student. Why can't we have similar stuff for example?

I would definitely buy a shirt or a cap with that on it, especially if it included our folding tag.

Back OT, I think about this quite often, as Alzheimer's is quite prevalent on both parents' side of the family, as is cancer (I know that it is not hereditary however it definitely seems to be more commonplace nowadays, and only likely to get worse ... for everyone, not just my family).

I do hope that through this and other research forms we can help remove some of these diseases/cancers so future generations don't have to go through it.

They have found some new ways to help combat this slightly (aside from medication) and it's to get people who are effected or showing the signs to perform tasks that help promote one's memory use, such as crosswords, sudoko, and word searches. Hell there's a 100 year old woman whose been playing on a DS for a while now who has the brain age of a 64 year old and feels like she's only 80.

I'd wear a shirt that had the HWC folding logo and says "HardwareCanucks Folding Team" Maybe give away a few during the next CC or something?

Any decision factor at HWC reading this?

Would be quite easy to get shirts made especially in the GTA I walk by like 3 places that print T's every day on my way to work. Only thing I think would be a factor is cost.
