EVGA Time Zone Challenge contest invite

Just so we don't forget you guys you are welcome to come over to EVGA and join in our fun

Since we had so much fun at the chimp... we extend a hand outward in hopes to build a vibrant community
(maybe convince a few to fold here on a regular basis...maybe earn some EVGA bucks ....it's always a hope)

the only thing is you fold for our team during the competition

The Time zone challenge is coming up and the two main give away prizes are two BIGADV folding machines
Both 2600k Sandy bridge bigadv rigs

All of the parts generously donated by our membership over here at EVGA

the parts will be shipped to the winner..and of course we will want pics of the build as you build it in the forum
hopefully post it at mod rigs at EVGA too

I don't know the exact start date yet - but in about 3 weeks

I don't know the rules yet...so until then wait till you can read them

if you feel this is too much...for another team to come into the forum and entice users away
feel free to remove...
we don't want to steal your folders just know that you are welcome during contests and to post there
(many probably earn EVGA bucks anyways)

Maybe we can work together with other teams to come up with more competitions thru the year as well

I am just waiting for my DSL to come in a few days and probably join in. tethering on the iphone right now, that is why my ppd production is so low (i take it with me at work). A SB folder would not be that bad but I have seen a pretty convincing guide (using VM Player on Ubuntu in a virtual box ) on tricking a Phenom X6 into folding bigadv and finishing in time. They were saying that even highly clocked i5 2500k would do the job.

Ah! Another Folding war. I participated in one over at Legit Reviews and there was a good and bad side to it. Good was that it was fun and competitive. Bad was that people undervalued their PPD in order to throw the numbers off. Come competition time, all hell brakes loose and some of the member's PPD were 300k PPD instead of 30K PPD. I think I'll join in though.

I might join with the hope of coming back to fold for real here. But I think I'd fall in the category for those who have fodling deficiency. I remember I used to yield about 4k PPD more or less when only my computer(including GPU) was folding. Unfortunatly, I no longer have any access to my cousin's GTX 460 and my gf won't fold unless I start it for her (tho it is not really workable).

We welcome you to join the forums..even if it's temporary for the contest
then you can sling mud at competing teams and get in the spirit

It's good idea because normal notification of prizes(and selections) are dealt with in the forums
and beside you can visit now and then and see what's going on

we also host a bunch more folding contests like this thru the year so keep an eye out for them

Like I said we don't want you to necessarily change teams...you can be on both
Im on two teams....I fold for both each month and I'll be tripling my output in about a month

We just want to have fun with fellow folders that love doing contests for a good cause "CURES"

It be nice if we could snag a few more MST and PST folders for the contest
currently the smallest team (MST) is taking on the mob from the east (EST) and PST is lagging behind everyone

so if a few folders could still join (just for the fun) and maybe next time around you'll be setup and eligible for next set of contests if you come here next year
