I just ordered 2 AMD 6128 . I just hope that price match will be accepted . I will price match it for 221$ EACH.

This will be my first multi socket built.

Edit: Price match accepted at 221$ for each CPU. Reg price at Ncix is around 280$....

Go Alpine Go!

Woohoo!

BTW: A couple months ago, I PM'd this at $222.98 to $89.53 - and they accepted it. I <3 NCIX's PM policy.

FYI - for those going for multiple rigs, and think that simply cloning the data from one HDD to another is good enough... think again. Re-install the FAH Client will you? I lost a week of production on Deux because I cloned the Four Horsemen' Ubuntu data to a new drive, and let it rip. But that meant both rigs had the same UserId, which prevented the WUs from being accepted by Stanford...

I am currently waiting for Newegg to restock the KGPE-D16 back in so I am wondering a few simple things like ram ,does it matter if the ram is UDIMM with ECC or non ECC, .
I seem to remember that servers use totally different more expensive ram.

This is the exact ram from the 'egg that I'm using: Newegg.ca - Kingston ValueRAM 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model KVR1333D3N9K2/2G. Qty.4 for Quad-channel.
Worked like a charm.

Good to know, I always wondered how ghosting one drive to the next would work out with respect to folding.

linux is a breeze, as long as you have another machine close by with access to google :) or some of the popular linux guides on Folding forums around.
