Default HWC Folding@Home Project PPD Database

Since folding season is almost upon us I thought it would be a good time to put together a list of projects and the PPD you get with them using your particular hardware setup. A HWC-specific database would be good, so that we would know who has what type of hardware setups and where the team expertise is.

For this purpose I have setup a Google Doc spreadsheet to start entering in values.

Please follow these guidelines:

- If you would like your information included, please post in this thread each piece of information included in the spreadsheet. This will allow others to gauge how their hardware is performing compared to others.

- Please don't ask for assistance in this thread. Simply create a new thread for technical help, and there will be plenty of folks to help you out or answer your questions.

edit: I'm aware the embedded table is not working I'll play around with it or ask Gav to lend a hand....

In the meantime, Google Docs allows charts to be published as an image automatically, so I'll include that for now.

My results from the sig platform. Updated to include the famous 7620/7621 WUs that are heating the GPU so much. For those I have set the rule in GPU tracker to load the GPU only at 80%. I didn't notice any decrease in temp however. Running any other units on the GPU (EVGA GTX 460 model 1370) keeps it at 60 degrees C, compared to 68-69 for the 7620.

Note for the CPU : the cpu is folding in SMP on all 4 cores and handling the other 3 videocards in the same time, that is why score is so low. For cpu only see the scores generated by the Phenom II X4 940.

You are missing the OS used, and if possible Watts consumption.

Rig in sig; -bigadv smp 32; Ubuntu 11.04 64bit, with musky's mix.
Power consumption: between 475W and 490W.
I don't have the final Credits.

OS is simple, for the watts everybody would need a watt-meter to check that.

Intel C2D E6300 1.86 Ghz, HD5750, Xp Home 32 bit

folding on the V7 beta client for AMD cards-- fahcore 0x16 for every WU

11294 (0,288,18) tpf: 4m34s credit: 1835

11294 (1,301,25) tpf: 4m43s credit: 1835

11294 (15,184,167) tpf: 4m33s credit: 1835

My 5750 finished 3 WUs a day, once every 6-8 days it finishes 4 WU. Doesn't matter what I set the clocks on the gpu to, there is no change in the time it takes to finish a WU. I have caused my gpu to shut down trying

There is also no difference in the points for each WU. Due to that one day where I get a fourth WU I am averaging 5767 ppd.

This client is also still a cpu pig. The cpu meter in the task manager shows anywhere from 50% as a minimum to a maximum of 97%. So maybe a better cpu will help it out a bit.

Guys I'll work to update this on the weekend. Teksavvy was down for me most of the week and I have to catch up on a bunch of stuff for work because of this too.

My System Specs

Default Phenom 9950 OC

The first reliable (not disrupted by me tweaking the OC) result from my dedicated folder:

Project: 6056
Credit: 481
PPD (w/bonus): 5900
Number of Frames Observed: 198
Min. Time / Frame : 00:06:09 - 6,117.3 PPD
Avg. Time / Frame : 00:06:18 - 5,900.2 PPD
CPU: Phenom 9950 Black Edition 125W TDP
Hardware clocks: 2.9 GHz (simple multiplier overclock)
Client: Console
OS: OpenSUSE Linux 64 bit
User: frontier204
Watts out of wall: 274 (PSU is a Seasonic M12)
Notes: CPU only, dedicated rig with no GUI - for the wattage figure, there's about 18W extra due to a Radeon 3650 idling
