Yes ... i can see your production has increased a lot

I used to fold with several gpu's when the gpu client first came out and it is a very stable and high producing client.

I would still be running them but in my limited space for my farm i have switched them out so I can run all of my muti core rigs as SMP ... unfortunately, the gpu client doesn't run in linux which is where i get the best production from my multi core rigs atm. It is possible in windows, but there is a performance loss running smp there vs linux - and in most cases, running both smp and gpu in windows will result in a production loss - at least on my intel rigs and depending on the mix of wu's.

Depending on the wu mix for the standard client, GPU folding will out produce it usually by quite a bit depending on oc of gpu and cpu.

With the 1950 pro now available for AGP it adds great folding punch to older single or HT AGP rigs at a pretty reasonable cost. And also makes for a much better gaming rig ... although you can't really game and fold at the same time.

Yeah, it wouldn't work at all, I turn it off whenever I go to do anything graphical, but the high yield while it is on means that I'd pump out tons of points even if I were playing 12 hrs a day... :)

It also puts a fair bit of stress on the cpu while it's folding, but doesn't seem to be affected much by normal day to day use of cpu cycles.

Default Time for matching to ante up

I promised to match new members production so i guess it is time to pay up .

1 sswilson 7327 30 2 pete_scout 5412 6 3 SHaCK 4389 16 4 Supergrover 3708 14 5 Scratch 1760 1 6 clsGrinder 784 4 7 Myminpins 764 3

Since i put out the matching offer, clsGrinder, Myminpins and Scratch have joined (completed wu's) for the team.

I will leave it to everyone to guess what id gets the matching donations which will start to show up shortly.

BTW ... my current rig folding for the team has a nice wu queued up waiting for its stanford server to come back online, but another one should get posted in the meantime (today).

Holy cwap!!!!!

Is 2610 on the smp client that heavy????? I've been running it for a day and I'm still only sitting at 91%.

Sure hope I don't hit the limit on the short submit times.... there better be a pretty good payoff for this unit or I'm probably going to either switch back to gpu folding or try my hand at running the regular client on two cores......

Are the servers for the smp still buggered up?

My WU won't upload either. I tried the file that was linked to as a fix and it doesn't appear to have done anything.

I'll try leaving smp for one more round, but after that I think I'll switch back to either gpu or try dual normal client.

I dunno about the windows servers but haven't heard any complaints from my folding buddies.
The uploads from these wu's are 27 MB i think so you need a fast connention. Also, i think stanford's network is still slowing uploads. But similar sizes on my linux wu's take a few minutes to complete on my sympatico high speed adsl.

All my smp rigs are running the linux smp client atm... they get their wus from different serves than win SMP.

The 2610 is the heaviest win smp wu atm. Rigs with only 2 MB cache really take a perf hit with them. I only have one smp rig with 2 MB (a 6400) ... the rest - 930D's, 6600's & quads all have 4MB per 2 cores (the quads have 8 MB cache) so they perform well on the 2610. Their is a similar cache luvin wu (2609) that i get on the linux rigs.

It's still showing one in queue but it's obviously already credited me for it.

I'm getting about 17min / 1%. (And yes I'm running 4M cache).

We'll see how the next one goes.... if it uploads fine should I scrap the install and start again, or not worry about the "failing to upload to server" message as long as the points keep piling up?
