Sorry I missed this when it was posted.

There are indeed costs involved with folding 24/7 (SKYMTL stated his objections to folding rather elegantly when we first started the Hardware Canucks team).

Thanks for your contributions to the team, and I'm sure the folks over at FAH appreciate them as well.

See you around the boards!!!

Steve

Well, you've managed a nice farm with a very interesting output! I'm still surprised by the cheer power of the Quads. And I'm pretty sure you can still use your rig for IE, email and other less demanding softwares.

The only issue with running other tasks currently is memory related I believe.

I haven't migrated the 4X1G mem over to the test bed from the Giga board and I've had a couple of crashes when I tried to play napster. I'm thinking that with all of those memory intensive apps running (gpu, XP console, 2X rosetta) they don't release the memory fast enough to compensate for what napster wants.

I'm hoping that 4G of memory will address that issue but don't have the time right now to spend setting both boards up again so for the moment I just drop the rosetta down to 95% vice 100% and that seems to work fine.

Is there a way to switch teams without losing points? I was thinking of coming over and folding for you guys but i'm just about to roll over the 2 mill point mark and would be sad if i lost them.

You won't lose the points, they just won't be counted as your current total. They stay up on the main stats page listed as points for "the other team".

We'd love to have you aboard. :)
