Yes, for my chips (4x Octocores, 2.0Ghz). But there are guys out there with 4x Dodecas (12 Cores), and being ES chips managed to oc those @ 2.7, 2.8GHz.

They are closing on the 1 000 000 ppd machine.

This thread and the one on [h] are really making me rethink. I really wanted to drop down to just one machine for the summer. But a 4p 48 core g34 system is really looking nice now.

I saw the 12 cores chips for 650 $ on ebay, but that was 1.9 - 2.0 Mhz. this make 2 600 $ just for the chips, 800 $ for the mobo. 500 $ for the memory ? 100 $ for the heat sinks. So 4 k ? and you still need a beefy Powesupply..... so much money.

hmm.. buy a new car, or buy two new quad G34 systems. Decisions, decisions...

I don't think 3x SR-2s will be enough!

i say sell the lot and wait for dozer..err...well,there will be a temporarily slow down in ppd of course but in the long run?

even a duallie board with 2 16 core dozers will do real good.

That is likely at least four months away. And who knows if this thing will be around for good. Could mean hundreds of millions of points in that time.
