I just tried and the mobo will boot my Nvidia 6600GT (which doesn't have the additional power adapter) but not my 5830... Strange.
Edit: Figured it out, Nforce 4 Mobos are not compatiable with PCI-E 2.1 (even though the interface is suppose to be fully backwards compatiable). Not sure if there is anything I can do to change that (was not detected in BIOS or device manager).
I just hope the D945G I have supports PCI-E 2.1, lol.
