Default Started folding, not going to break any records

Started folding on my Dell early this morning, definitely not going to be breaking any records though....about 30% complete the first unit about 10 hours in.

nice. just watch out for the temp spikes. laptops are not that great heat runners, usually.

Thanks for helping out the fight and the team!

BTW is it a laptop? I tend to avoid folding on a laptop to prevent heat issues.

Its my Dell E520 desktop, using my laptop to do my surfing. E6300 @ 1.86 Ghz dual core, so nothing outrageous. I do have 2 instances of f@h running right now....both at about 53%. Not sure if its the same workunit, or it is actually two seperate. I'll guess I'll find out when they get turned in.

I just plan on letting it run 24/7, so it will keep producing steadily. Heat isn't that a big an issue since it sits in one of the coolest rooms in my place. The only time it won't be folding is if I am doing some gaming, which lately hasn't been that frequent. Once the new build gets squared away then the old will ony be used for folding.

cool, but i think it'd be kinda wasting energy with the ppd that system produces. any is appreicated, but bang per watt, not good :)

It's only a 65W TDP, it'll be like leaving 1-2 incandescents on most of the time. Inefficient but not a waste.

It would do better with one instance of smp client instead . It will run 100% of both cores
