How many Cores/Clients are you running? Wonder how many ppl are running efficient high dollar setups vs many old cheap folding "farms" 1 gpu client =1 2 gpu clents =2 Quad core + HT =4 Dual Hexacore +HT =12 Physical cores (keeps it even for the AMD non G34 guys) 6 I7-980 4 I7-860 8 Dual 5460's 4 I7-975 2 Dual GTX470's 8 Quad 9800GX2's ------------------- 32 running 1 GTX480M -laptop doesnt need the extra heat, takes away from the 980x's bigadv 4 Phenom II x4 9350e powers the quad gx2's, the room is hot enough, plus it only does 2500ppd 2 9800gx2 in the 975 box, ran out of normal gpu's dont neet to slow down the bigadv 8 Dual 5460's under water, this is the rig that it seems I'll never finish ------- 15 not used |
Running two i7 970 bigadv (Windows). 12 physical cores. I have three GTX 460s not running (actually one right now as I'm testing), since I find that there is no gain in PPD and I use less power. |
1 I7 880 4+ HT 1 I7 2600K 4+ HT |
I Run 52 cores / 104 threads now and then, 4x dual hexcores + 1x i7 920. I use 1 sr2 for work so I only fold on it from time to time. |

Reliably? Between 4 physical cores and 12 physical cores. Depends on what computer is running at the time. http://smiliesftw.com/x/kekekegay.gif What should I be running? 28 physical cores. A pair of E5649s on an SR-2, a pair of E5645s on another SR-2, and a 2600k. |
We got to get those cores fired up for the CC! |
1 client 1 core, gtx 460 build for a bud im 'testing out' just in case it misses a wu for a couple weeks ahem ahem |
I'm running 4 cores on the rig in my signature Way To Fold |
2 x 6 physical cores in one box 1 x gpu in another Much easier to pump out the ppd than the 3 or 4 quads + gpus I ran in the past. |
