Mine are not on carpet. They are raised off the ground on some boxes.

I am having all sort of issues getting this second board stable once again. I've tried the voltages/clocks/settings that 3.0charlie used as well as considerably higher voltages. They always result in the system rebooting during LinX. From anywhere from 3 minutes in to 20 minutes in. I've also seen it lose 3 of the DIMM's occasionally. MemTest ran error free for 8 hours. I even swapped the ram from the working SR-2. Nothing seems to help.

So when I bought my CPU's I was told that they did not have Turbo Boost enabled on them. And since I always have EIST disabled in the bios, I never say the Turbo Boost. Since I was told that they didn't have it., I never thought on it ever. But now w/ my second SR-2 I knew I needed Turbo Boost on. I found out that EIST needed to be enabled for it to show up. So I do this to my old CPU's and found out I actually have 20x multiplier with it on. Hello 3.9GHz! HFM.net on my other system says it is pulling ~147k on a P6900. Not to shabby. And since I am only using 1.35Vtt and I no longer use any USB devices on it I think I may be able to take it even higher.

Well no 4GHz for me it seems. Anything over 195bclk and performance does a substantial hit. Not exactly sure why but Gflops is down 15% or so. I think maybe that Turbo Boost doesn't want to work or something.

Anyways both systems are now up and running. The E5649's are @ 3.9GHz & the E5645's are at 3.74GHz. One weird thing I've noticed is that these CPU's will not work w/ over 1.35Vtt. Anything over that and they are unstable.

Anywho, what kind of PPD should I be getting on a P2684? WU is just starting out but it is definitely rather pathetic. Around 90k or so.

Great news! 90K PPD (or ~100K points) is perfectly normal for a P2684. 1.35VTT is rather nice I say.

Originally I wanted first, but there is no way I am going to be buying another SR-2 to catch up to Xeven.

Don't count me out so quickly. I'm still waiting for my RMA to get back from EVGA (since late Dec!) - and my main workstation 980x has been down for a week.

Also, you've been doing way more PPD numbers compared to lowfat - he hasn't uploaded more than 150k/day yet.
