Let me vent a bit....

In the last 3 years I have overclocked on X58 (Asus sabertooth, P6T, giga UD5), P55 (Msi GD80 and Asus P55D), X48 (Asus Maximus) P45 (DFI) and finally the Sr-2. Guess wich as been most painful ? You got it, Sr-2. Not because of the crashes, or BSOD. I can obviously live with it. No, the /$?$?/$& painful clear cmos button. This board can recuperate from anything. At least mine cant. I guess iot is why people are in love wiht their EVGA Sr-2 Oc. Because they dont have to touch the clear cmos again !

Yeah, going back to BLCK fun.....

I think I am past the CMOS clearing now, hopefully anyways. All that is really left for me is to find how low I can take the Vcore before it starts to get unstable. 200bclk w/ 1.35Vtt. Uncore @ 2400MHz (12x?). DRAM ratio @ 1066MHz. MCH strap @ 1066MHz. Currently Vcore is @ 1.25V but hopefully I can take it a bit lower. Full load on the CPU's is under 50C. I don't doubt when I add the CPU blocks it isn't going to be any lower, it will be done pretty much for bling only. Hopefully should be up and folding by the end of tomorrow.

So what's better than an SR-2? How about two? Still at test folding phase, but the power figures are looking pretty decent, "only" 1KWH total.

Holy cwap Xeven!!!!

Not to take anything away from folding (which is of course the whole purpose behind these rigs), but I did happen to notice the sli'd 480s in that rig.... did you run some gaming benchmarks on it as well?

I'm thinking anything from here... Your Guide to the Hardware Canucks GPU Benchmarking Process . (Alien vrs Predator looks to be fairly easy to run).
