Holy smokes those cards are nice! $112 at Newegg looks good too for the PNY.

The PNY 450 is my favorite version. I only picked it up because it was on sale a few weeks back, never expected it to be so damn overclockable and stable at the same time.

I didn't know about that. First time I ever bought a PNY card, more out of impulse rather than need. Hope it doesn't die on me but from the looks of it, looks like I got a tank.

Thanks for the heads up dan

What are those projects? GPU3?

I am running PPD testing now with a GTX 480 + GPU3 and haven't pulled any of those...ever. And I have ~20 WUs completed with an average of 14.5K PPD.

Not sure, but they probably are.

This sorta proves my point that raw shader speeds are more important than the amount of CUDA cores. Well, at least that's what I tell myself. I think it's true to a certain extent though....

How much PPD does a overclocked GTX 460 get again?

15-17k depending on clockspeed.

I was thinking about getting these OC'd 450's to replace GX2's.... a single gx2 is only good for at best 10kppd but draws about an extra 100w when under full load. My 9350e rig in my sig goes from 450w to 900w Idle to 7xgpu 1xsmp running. This could also bring the temps generated by the rig way down...

I'm in the process of completely rebuilding my folding rig to be more efficient and was planning on replacing my two GTX 260's (One Core 192 and one Core 216) with four GTS 430's but I think two GTS 450's makes a lot more sense. Any thoughts?
