Default Low PPD for GPUs

So both my GTX460 and GTS450 are running a TPF of around 2 mins for a 925/911 WU which is normally a under a min TPF ... Afterburner says both cards are only running at under 50% load.

What could be the issue? Temps are fine.

Any CPU intensive tasks you're running other than F@H?

When I was folding with my 8600GT in a P4 system, the GPU client wouldn't request 100% usage on new WUs when CPU resources were limited. But of course that's just a hunch based on different architecture and getting more info would probably be a better idea.

Yeah the 912/925 pointers were going 100% at first, than got a bunch of 611s of a couple days now I'm back with 912/925s and the card won't go over 50% core usage. Restored to stock, re-started my clients and computer, still stuck with the problem.

My 460 is working on P11252 (R1, C17, G35)

Nope, like I said nothing changed and it was working fine a day ago.
And it's happening on two different machines.

What are you using to manage the cards, ie. Evga precision, MSI afterburner, Prifinnity? I had to at one time use a program to force the cards to high performance 3D, I believe it was Rivatuner......

Using Afterburner and I did Kombustor and Furmark and card goes to 100% no problem.

My first thought was that something was eating up your CPU cycles (ie. running smp). But it seems you have ruled that out.

My second thought was a driver issue, but if your card goes into 3D mode and runs at 100% in furmark then I am going to assume that your drivers are fine.

So my third thought is that something is up with your core; stop the client, delete the core.exe files, work folder, and queue.dat files. Restart so that a fresh core and work folders are generated.

If it still continues, I would uninstall afterburner, kombustor, etc, and install fresh drivers with everything on stock.

Try running realtemp. My initial GTS 450 wouldn't run 100%, but for some reason running realtemp in the background gives it the poke it needs to run full speed. Tried different drivers with no change, but it runs fine with realtemp up and running.
