Never fear, winter is almost here.
We're actually doing very good for a slow season and I think we can stay head of the guys behind until Winter.
I picked up a GTX 460 and got it running, hopefully it'll help.

My 460 GTX is doing the PhysX work for my 5870 right now .... think it can fold while the 5870 keeps taking care of video stuff?

Not sure if that would actually work.... do you have Nvidia video drivers installed for the card, or just the physx drivers?

I think we should be very concerned....

Time to set up some more dedicated folding rigs everyone ;p

I'll be buying some 460s in a few weeks hopefully (if the wife manages to get some hours at work that is).

But with the weather as it is, our PPD has been rison!!!

It shouldn't have no problems really. When I had a similar system going I had to add the -gpu 0 flag on the client. IIRC correctly I also needed a dongle/display hooked up to the card.

We might lose a spot but we are a strong small and co-ordinated team that has done so much more for what we have.
Regardless of what place we settle into, we have done so much.
Espically if you read the past of what we once were, to what we are today.

I say, good job everyone. Fight onward.

My F@H PPD must've gone down quite a bit since I lost my main rig for 1.5 weeks and I switched my laptop from F@H SMP to BOINC (more convenient for non 24-7 use).

Now that I got my main back, I'll crank up the GPU folding again for ~3k PPD - hope I don't demolish my 2-day old mobo
(see related post Max safe mobo CPU VRM temps? )
