I pay 9c peak, 4.4c off peak. Folding on off peak power only is totally affordable for me, only about 4 bucks a month which gets ~6-9k PPD.

I'm glad I'm not back in California though, 16c/kwh is pretty darn insane.

I'm 11.79c / KWh in NS. Not that far off from PEI - and we have our own power stations. And they want another price hike of 1-2c/ KWh to pay for some new building for their central offices. Yeah. :(

I'm on a "balanced" payment system.. which means I pay the same every month and it's adjusted every year. I see what I owe in back power usages though.. not pretty.

I don't even want to discuss my last power bill. Let's just say it's the highest it has ever been, and I will continue to pay it, but I have a new efficiency build I'm working on.

The time-of-use billing in Ontario is not nice in the summer, but lemme say this:

My average winter gas bill is like $18.00 a month because of all the extra heat in the basement filtering up into the first floor, so in a strange, and not-so-wonderful way, it evens itself out!

I wouldn't want your hydro/power bill 10e.. however, you do have way cheaper power in Ontario.

When I started FOlding, I was really not prepared for the cost of electricity.
However, that being said I made a very good oath. For every extra dollar it cost me to run my gear I would in turn do something to make my house more efficent.
It took a while, a lot of capital, but I did it.

Eventually FOlding cost me no more than my bill did before (on two systems)
Though lets not talk about the reno costs...

I want to be back up there with you guys, once I'm done with my basement.
